One Word Film Project

     For the One Word Film Project, we were given one word that we had to turn into an understandable story without the use of sound. After we were given our word, we had to brainstorm, storyboard, record and edit our story.

    Me and my partner were given the word "envious," and we immediately began thinking of scenarios were someone might be jealous of someone else: insecurities, competition, past experiences, etc. We decided to go the competition route and portray two girls who are racing each other. One girl is jealous of the other and desperately wants to win, while the second one is completely oblivious to the resentful girl. Our storyboard help us pre-visualize our project as it painted a clear picture of how we could convey this grudge between the two girls, it also helped us as we were able to see what we needed to change or add to allow the story to flow smoothly and make sense to the viewer. To edit our project, we decided to use iMovie as it was easier to use at the time and it wasn't giving us projects like Adobe Express was.

    I believe that we did a good job during pre and post filming, our story made sense and you could tell what the word was. The editing process also went smoothly despite the issues with Adobe Express. However, I do wish we were more efficient with our time while we were filming. We were filming directly in order instead of doing what was most effective, this slowed us down and we had to come back to the track another day to finish filming.
